La afirmaci&oacute;n, hecha bajo el efecto de una dosis de veinte miligramos de mezcalina, no es por eso menos exacta. Es probable, de hecho, que la invencible tristeza en la que se precipitan a veces los ni&ntilde;os surja precisamente de esa conciencia de no ser capaces de magia. Aquello que podemos alcanzar a trav&eacute;s de nuestros m&eacute;ritos y de nuestras fatigas no puede, en efecto, hacernos verdaderamente felices. Solo la magia puede hacerlo. Lo que no se le escap&oacute; al genio infantil de Mozart, quien en una carta a Bullinger se&ntilde;ala con precisi&oacute;n la secreta solidaridad entre magia y felicidad: &laquo;Vivir bien y vivir feliz son dos cosas distintas, y la segunda sin duda no me suceder&aacute; sin algo de magia. Por eso deber&iacute;a ocurrir algo en verdad fuera de lo norrnal&raquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Los ni&ntilde;os, como las criaturas de las f&aacute;bulas, saben perfectamente que para ser felices hace falta predisponer a nuestro favor al genio de la l&aacute;mpara, tener en casa el burro que caga monedas o la gallina de los huevos de oro. En cada ocasi&oacute;n, conocer el lugar y la f&oacute;rmula vale m&aacute;s que afanarse honestamente en alcanzar un objetivo. Magia significa precisamente que nadie puede ser digno de la felicidad; que, como sab&iacute;an los antiguos, la felicidad que corresponde al hombre es siempre <em>hybris<\/em>, es siempre arrogancia y exceso. Pero si alguien consigue someter la suerte con el enga&ntilde;o; si su felicidad depende no de aquello que &eacute;l es sino de una nuez encantada o de un &aacute;brete s&eacute;samo, entonces y solo entonces puede en verdad llam&aacute;rsele bienaventurado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Giorgio Agamben, <em>Profanaciones<\/em> (en traducci&oacute;n de E.
