Me dec\u00eda que desde 1934 se hab\u00eda distanciado completamente del r\u00e9gimen nazi, que en sus clases y conferencias hab\u00eda realizado especiales observaciones contra ese r\u00e9gimen, incluso se lamentaba de haber sido vigilado por la Gestapo. No quiero dudar de sus palabras, pero los hechos est\u00e1n ah\u00ed: usted se indentific\u00f3 tanto con el r\u00e9gimen nazi que todav\u00eda es considerado a los ojos de muchos como uno de sus m\u00e1s firmes apoyos espirituales. Algunas de sus manifestaciones, escritos y acciones en ese tiempo son la prueba de lo que digo. Usted nunca se ha retractado de ello abiertamente, tampoco despu\u00e9s de 1945.<\/p>\n<p>Nunca ha explicado claramente que ha llegado a otro pensamiento diferente de aquel que en 1933-1934 declar\u00f3 y llev\u00f3 a efecto en sus acciones. No se ha movido despu\u00e9s de 1934 de Alemania, a pesar de que antes que otros podr\u00eda haber encontrado un lugar de trabajo en el extranjero. Usted jam\u00e1s ha denunciado p\u00fablicamente los hechos ni la ideolog\u00eda del nazismo. Por todas estas circunstancias todav\u00eda hoy se le contin\u00faa identificando con el r\u00e9gimen nazi. Muchos de nosotros hemos esperado una palabra suya, una palabra con la que pudiese liberarse clara y definitivamente de esa identificaci\u00f3n con el r\u00e9gimen nazi; una palabra que expresara su actitud real y actual frente al pasado. Sin embargo, no ha pronunciado esa palabra, y si lo ha hecho no ha salido de la esfera privada.<\/p>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los que le he\fmos apreciado como fil\u00f3sofo y hemos aprendido much\u00edsimo de usted no podemos, a pesar de todo, hacer una separaci\u00f3n entre el fil\u00f3sofo Heidegger y el hombre Heidegger \u2013ello contradice su propia filosof\u00eda\u2013. Un fil\u00f3sofo se puede confundir en pol\u00edtica y puede mostrar su error p\u00fablicamente, pero no se puede confundir sobre un r\u00e9gimen que ha asesinado a millones de jud\u00edos solo porque eran jud\u00edos, que ha hecho del terror un estado normal, y todo lo que estaba realmente vinculado con el concepto de espiritu, libertad y verdad lo ha vuelto en sus contrarios sangrientos. Un r\u00e9gimen que, en cualquier caso, fue la caricatura moral de aquella tradici\u00f3n occidental que usted mismo tan penetrantemente ha analizado y defendido. Y si el r\u00e9gimen nazi no era la caricatura, sino la encarnaci\u00f3n real de esa tradici\u00f3n, tampoco cab\u00edan enga\u00f1os, pues ten\u00eda usted necesariemente que condenar toda esa tradici\u00f3n y abjurar de ella.<\/p>\n<p>[\u2026] \u00bfDeber\u00eda usted realmente entrar as\u00ed en la historia del esp\u00edritu? Cualquier intento para luchar contra esa confusi\u00f3n c\u00f3smica fracasa en la resistencia general si se preocupa seriamente con un ide\u00f3logo nazi. El sentido com\u00fan \u2013tambi\u00e9n el del esp\u00edritu\u2013 que manifiesta esa resistencia se niega a ver en usted un fil\u00f3sofo porque considera incompatible filosof\u00eda y nazismo. Con esa convicci\u00f3n estoy de acuerdo. En otras palabras, usted solo puede luchar contra la identificaci\u00f3n de su persona y de su obra con el nazismo \u2013y con ello contra la extinci\u00f3n de su filosofia\u2013 si hace una confesi\u00f3n p\u00fablica de su cambio y conversion \u2013y solo as\u00ed podemos luchar nosotros contra esa identificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Le he enviado esta semana un paquete. Mis amigos estaban en contra de ello y me han reprochado que ayude a un hombre que se ha identificado con un r\u00e9gimen que ha enviado a millones de compa\u00f1eros de creencias a las c\u00e1maras de gas \u2013para evitar confusiones deseo observarle que yo era antinazi desde el principio, no solo por ser jud\u00edo, sino por razones pol\u00edticas, sociales e intelectuales; tambi\u00e9n hubiera sido de esa convicci\u00f3n aunque perteneciese a los <em>vollarier<\/em> arios de tercera generaci\u00f3n. Contra ese <em>reproche<\/em> \u2013argumentado\u2013 nada hay que decir. Me disculpo por eso ante mi conciencia y le env\u00edo un paquete al hombre con el que he aprendido filosof\u00eda desde 1928 a 1932. Soy consciente de que esto es una p\u00e9sima excusa.
